~ PADI Instructor Course ~

Do you want to make the diving your job? Become a PADI diving instructor and make the diving your way of life. You can travel around the world working in places like the Maldives, Bahamas or Thailand, or combine your current life with teaching diving, work as a freelance with your own students or even open your own diving center.

But beyond the paradisiacal beaches, what the instructors are most passionate about is being able to teach others to dive: share with the students the experience of breathing underwater, see how they evolve and become expert divers, without any kind of doubt the best reward for a good diving instructor.

What is the PADI Instructor Course?

The PADI Instructor Development Course (IDCs) prepares candidates to work as PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors. Candidates gain knowledge of diving theory at the instructor level, model-level water and rescue skills, and leadership skills, learning how to teach in the classroom, in confined waters and in open waters. During the IDC, instructor candidates gain a complete understanding of the PADI educational goals and philosophy. Candidates who complete the Instructor Development Course (IDC) will gain the knowledge and qualification necessary to teach PADI diving courses from Open Water to DiveMaster.

Course schedule and duration

We can do the Pre-IDC program several days before starting the course or intensive just before starting the course. During your PADI instructor development course, you will do different workshops with the goal of acquiring knowledge and practice at the teaching level of all PADI courses, as well as workshops on risk management, marketing and sales, and course management and development. We will practice all the exercises in the classroom first and then in the pool and the sea until we acquire a demonstration quality at the required level.
After completing your IDC, you will need to demonstrate that what you have learned during the Instructor Examination (IE). Then, an independent and objective PADI Instructor Examiner, will assess your skills and knowledge, checking everything from dive theory to PADI standards. PADI is the only certification organization that requires an objective and independent exam to qualify you as a professional instructor.
